JOHOR BARU: Despite the reported rush to stock up on groceries and supplies over the weekend following the announcement of a total lockdown, some shoppers here chose to leave their shopping to the last minute.
Housewife, S. Viga, 52, said she decided to shop at a hypermarket in Tampoi on Monday (May 31) before the total lockdown kicks in on Tuesday (June 1) to avoid large crowds that were expected over the weekend.

JOHOR BARU (Bernama): Three men, including a member of the General Operations Force (GOF), pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here Monday (Jan 25) to voluntarily causing hurt to a man in a gang-robbery last month.
Constable Haikal Fikri Anuar, 27; Razif Razali, 29; and Muhammad Syukurilah Roszailah, 19; both unemployed, made the plea before Judge V. Mabel Sheela.
The three of them and a woman, aged 19, were jointly charged with committing the offence at an area in Medini Iskandar, Iskandar Puteri, near here at about 1.20am last Dec 25.
However, the woman was not present in court today.
The judge allowed the three men bail of RM5,000 with two sureties each and also ordered them to surrender their passports to the court, not to intimidate the witness in the case and to report themselves at the nearest station every month.
