Her family members, however, blocked the Haripur-Taxila Road in protest and demanded justice.

Eight perish in Burewala crash Three children are among victims of fatal car-truck collision April 02, 2021 BUREWALA: Eight members of a family, including three children, were killed on Thursday when their car collided with a truck in Punjab province. Rescue sources said members of the in-laws of former chairman district council Mian Zahid Daultana were on their way from Luddan to Lahore. Rescue officials said a car heading to Lahore from Burewala collided head-on with a truck due to speeding on Luddan Road Burewala, some 140 kilometres from Lahore. The car driver lost control over the vehicle because of speeding and rammed the vehicle into a truck coming from the opposite direction.

Five gangsters held in Nankana National March 10, 2021 NANKANA SAHIB: The district police Tuesday claimed to have arrested a five-member dacoits gang. Addressing a press conference here at his office, District Police Officer (DPO) Bilal Iftikhar said on a tip-off police arrested ringleader Zafar Iqbal and his accomplices identified as Jameel, Shahzaib, Habibur Rehman and Ahtesham. He said the bandits were wanted by police of districts Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Okara, Kasur and Nankana. He said police team headed by SHO Warburton police traced and arrested the gangsters with booty and illicit arms. The DPO announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for the police party. The DPO said Warburton police also resolved a blind murder. He said Razia Bibi of Sheikhupura was murdered by her two brothers and they threw her body into a canal. The police arrested the accused brothers.
