This week s entry is from  The Los Angeles [Calif.] Times newspaper dated 5 January 1954: The transcription of the article is: Mrs. Seaver, Widow of Bank Founder, Dies Mrs. Carlton Seaver, widow of the founder of the First National Bank of Pomona, died Sunday at her home in that city at the age of 5. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at Todd s Memorial Chapel, Pomona, with the Rev. Raymond A. Waser of Pilgrim Congregational Church officiating.  Interment will be in the family plot in Pomona Cemetery. Came From New York Mrs. Seaver came to Pomona with her husband from New York in 1884, and was active in the city s social, cultural and charitable undertakings.
