COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The suspect in the fatal shooting of five people at a Colorado gay nightclub changed his name as a teenager, after filing a legal petition in Texas saying he wanted to "protect himself" from a father with a criminal history.
The suspect in Saturday night’s Club Q shooting has been booked into the El Paso County jail, according to jail records and a tweet from Colorado Springs police on Tuesday.
Army veteran Richard Fierro was enjoying a night out with his family when a gunman opened fire on a gay club in Colorado Springs. Fierro said he went into "combat mode" to take down the shooter.
