NORWALK, Conn Two Connecticut police officers accused of drinking alcohol and not responding to calls while on duty appeared before a judge Wednesday for the first time since their arrests last month.
Norwalk officers Sara Laudano and Michael Dimeglio were arraigned on larceny and reckless endangerment charges in Norwalk Superior Court. They did not enter pleas and remain free on bail. Both were placed on administrative leave.
Laudano applied for accelerated rehabilitation, a probation program that could result in the charges being erased from her record. Dimeglio s lawyer, Raymond Hassett, said he is seeking to review the police evidence before deciding on whether to apply for the same program.
