The pandemic crippled the industry in 2020. The crisis eased in 2021, but restaurants continued to face challenges that included workforce shortages and supply chain issues. The businesses are responding with shorter hours, revised menus and new technology.
Dear Guests,
We are very excited to see that, because of all the people getting vaccinated, we are able to offer bit by bit a more normalized service at the hotel and restaurant.
Starting May 24th Governor Janet Mills allows guests vaccinated two weeks prior to arrival to enjoy our indoor facilities without a mask.
However we will require proof of full vaccination two weeks prior to arrival by showing a vaccination card or a clear digital image of a vaccination card. For guests not fully vaccinated (yet) or unwilling to share this information with us, we will continue, per Governor s mandate, to require a mask inside.

To help restaurants during a difficult time, the organizers of Maine Restaurant Week have tweaked the recipe for this year s version by lining up corporate sponsors to foot the bill.
The annual promotional event allows participating restaurants, including venues not normally open to the public, to draw diners in during a traditionally slow season with meals at special prices.
But while eateries have traditionally paid $495 to be included in the initiative, this year they can participate for free because of sponsorship by L.L.Bean Mastercard, Norway Savings Bank, Coffee By Design, Bangor Savings Bank, and IDEXX Laboratories Inc. Feature-wise, we re approaching things differently than in past years, said Maine Restaurant Week co-founder Gillian Britt. Passion-wise, we re more committed than ever to boosting business for restaurants during winter.
