BERLIN â A member of the townâs Police Commission will give a presentation for parents on human trafficking this week. Â
âItâs happening in every county across the state, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, education level - we are seeing it in every community,â said Police Commissioner Melissa Urrunaga during a Town Council meeting last week.
Urrunaga also serves as a social worker at the Department of Children and Families, and a liaison at the Human Anti-trafficking Response Team for the New Britain Area.
