CEBU CITY Mayor Michael Rama urged the City Council to pass in March 2024 the ordinance that will update the schedule of fair market values (FMV) and mark the adjustment of real property taxes (RPT).
CEBU City Mayor Michael Rama does not care about critics who label him as “toxic,” saying no matter what, he is still the mayor until 2025.
“Never mind. He can describe me (as) anything, but sorry, I am still the mayor,” Rama said during Cebu City Hall’s online program “Ingna’ng Mayor” on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, referring to a statement made a day earlier by Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) chairman Jose Daluz III.
IF CEBU City Mayor Michael Rama had his way, residents of Cebu City would be able to vote for the governor.
“Being the capital of the whole Cebu Island, Cebu City should not suffer disenfranchisement,” Rama said during his regular online program, “Ingna’ng Mayor,” on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024.
SURPRISED and worried.
This was the reaction of former Cebu City administrator Floro Casas Jr., when he learned that it would still be a Rama-Garcia tandem in the 2025 midterm elections.
