Freak weather over the weekend of Feb. 12-13, 1966, played a decisive role in destroying much of Dartmouth s Winter Carnival atmosphere, but not to the point of eliminating the fun that is always found at the Grand Daddy” of all college winter carnivals. There was fun and plenty of it but like all good things Dartmouth Carnival had its ending. And that ending came when weekend dates jammed the bus station and airport for the long homeward trek.
