Jane Stevenson MP and Wayne Brigden from Amey as the memorial garden is built after the British Legion raised cash online
The Royal British Legion committee, based in Vicarage Road Wednesfield, decided to build the garden in honour of members of the club who lost their lives during the pandemic and others.
Members have not been able to carry out their usual fundraising, so a Justgiving page was launched by the club to raise the £5,000 needed to pay for the transformation and upkeep for 12 months.
Builders from Amey and local tradespeople began construction on March 29.
