City administration reserves Metro Bus track for Cycling Saturday

The district administration organised a cycle rally on Metro Bus Track to promote cycling in the garrison city as part of efforts to inculcate a healthy lifestyle among people.
The Metro Bus service remained suspended from 6am to 11am to facilitate the cyclists pedal freely on the exclusive track from Sector I-9 Station to Saddar Station.
Rawal Cycling Saturday was held with an aim to encourage the culture of cycling and making it a permanent feature of the city.
According to district administration, Commissioner Office Rawalpindi will launch the programme “Rawal Cycling Saturdays’ on Feb 13.
Riders will begin the ride at on metro track from Potohar Station in I-9 and will end at Rawalpindi Saddar metro station. The riders will move back to Potohar metro bus station via Murree Road and Stadium Road.
The administration spokesman said that the Commissioner Rawalpindi will ride the Bicycle along with community members to emphasize the importance of keeping an active, healthy and happy lifestyle.
