Houston Arboretum s Playscape Awaits

Let the kids go wild at this natural play area. By Gwendolyn Knapp 5/31/2021 at 6:00am The grass climb at Houston Arboretum s Nature Playscape.  We know, we know. We’re always talking about how much we love the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center, but beyond the goat landscaping services, the arborgator, the revamped Ravine Trail, and a master plan that’s restoring the native prairie/savanna/woodland origins of this greenspace (buh-bye, invasive species) and providing new educational programming and experiences, there’s yet another reason to adore it: The brand-new Nature Playscape. Kids young and maybe even tween-ish will get a kick out of the new natural playground, which made its debut in May, generously supported by The Powell Foundation, W.T. and Louise J. Moran Foundation, and Phillips 66, with an additional in-kind contribution from ACT Pipe & Supply.
