Joining the increasing number of Trump supporters arrested after storming the Capitol on Jan. 6, a Pennsylvania woman who allegedly took a laptop belonging to Speaker Nancy Pelosi was arrested Monday. The woman, identified as 22-year-old Riley June Williams, is charged with intentionally entering into a restricted building without lawful authority in addition to disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. While Williams has not yet been charged with theft, the FBI is investigating the matter and what her intentions were.
According to an FBI court filing on Sunday, a witness who self-identified as a former significant other of Williams told the bureau that Williams intended to send the computer device to a friend in Russia, who then planned to sell the device to SVR, Russia s foreign intelligence service. The witness also directed the agency to a 32-minute video from inside
The woman who fled her Pennsylvania home around the time of the U.S. Capitol riot has been arrested amid reports that she stole a laptop computer from Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office.
Authorities have not yet confirmed Williams’ alleged intentions or whether she actually stole a computer, but the affidavit indicates that plans to sell the computer to Russia fell through.
The circumstances of Williams’ surrender are not yet known. The arrest affidavit shows that Williams’ mother told federal agents that her daughter left their Harrisburg home on an unspecified day, carrying a bag and saying she would be back in a couple of weeks. The suspect is reportedly seen multiple times in images and video footage of the Capitol attack, including in a video where a woman fitting Williams’ description is seen hurriedly leaving an area carrying a bag. (The below Twitter post states that Pelosi’s “laptop/hard drive” is in the bag, which is unconfirmed speculation.)

What s in the zebra print bag?
That s what FBI investigators and amateur sleuths are wondering as footage of Riley June Williams of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is replayed and shared across social media.
No matter how well defended an organization, or in this case, an institution, purportedly is, a smash-and-grab job could pose information security challenges.
Riley, who carried the zebra print bag, entered the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, the day rioters overwhelmed police in an incursion. A local CBS station and other news outlets report she was arrested early Tuesday in Pennsylvania.
She appears to have become radicalized quite recently, and her clueless mom is so taken aback she isn t thinking that gee, maybe it s dumb to spill the beans on TV.
