The museum, which will be open Thursdays through Sundays, had temporarily closed in late December as COVID-19 cases spiked across the state.
The reopening coincides with the exhibit, “Picture the Dream: The Story of the Civil Rights Movement through Children’s Books,” organized by the museum and Georgia’s High Museum of Art, going on view. Curated by award-winning children’s book author Andrea Davis Pinkney, the show is said to be the first highlighting picture books addressing the Civil Rights Movement.
