Members of the North Bay detachment were conducting RIDE checks on the Highway 11 bypass around 1 a.m. when a vehicle approached and officers determined the driver had been consuming alcohol.
Brandon Hardisty registered a fail on an approved screening device, the OPP said, and was arrested at the scene, then taken to North Bay for further testing.
