The Karnataka High Court has granted relief to 447 MBBS students from compulsory rural service for one year, as sought under the 2012 amendment of Rule 11 of Karnataka Selection of Candidates for.
The Court, however, said that MBBS students admitted to colleges under the government quota after July 22, 2022 cannot escape compulsory rural service or execution of bonds.
