Deputies accused of beating a former inmate who is now revealing what happened to him. Pete suratos has more. Reporter you know, i spoke with ruben, who is not calling this a victory. A year after the attack he is still shaken up. I fell asleep and got woke up by two officers beating me. Reporter ruben garcia is cautiously optimistic after the two santa clara jail deputies responsible for beating him in his jail cell back in july turned themselves in. You know, i dont think they will ever stop beatings there. Deputies are facing felony charges, up to three years in prison. The former inmate says he was shackled while being beat, after he complained about being in an Interview Room for four hours. These pictures show his jaw, permanently disfigured, and eating is a challenge. The beating happened before his fellow inmate was beaten to death by three deputies. Passing by saw smoke on this roof. Banged on the door waking the family getting everybody out. The family dog was even to make it out safely before the roof came down. The Fire Department left. Contractors are here boarding things up to keep things safe until the family can figure out how it is they are going to rebuild. Again, the family was sleeping when this fire broke out. More breaking news out of San Francisco. A man was shot and killed in so mania overnight. This happened at 6 00 and ministry. Police are not releasing any more details at this point. No arrests have been made in this shooting. Police are looking for two men who barged in a home last night. It happened around 9 30. Detectives believe the thieves followed the people home. Morning commute. A caltrain accident. Sal, what happened . Well, just about 25 minutes ago we got a tweet from caltrain that after checking it out, we found out that there was a train that hit a pedestrian on the caltrain line near california and oak grove. And now were finding out that pedestrian has died. Caltrain is announcing the train 305 was involved, and there is a bus bridge in place taking people away from the incident.
