Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Gameplay Trailer Looks Simply Sublime
Phwoar, get a load of this new trailer for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. The PlayStation 5 exclusive is hurtling towards its release date of 11th June 2021, which means it s time for much more gameplay footage. Insomniac Games also uses the trailer as an opportunity to reveal the name of the mysterious female Lombax. It s Rivet! This is the same name fans of the series had taken a stab at guessing, so they were right.
Nearly two minutes of action showcases fast-paced gameplay as well as gorgeous cutscenes we even get another glimpse of Ratchet utilising the PS5 SSD and launching through portals with ease. New locations such as Nefarious City are included alongside sneak peeks at old favourites Sargasso and Torren IV, except with a twist from another dimension. That s not all though because Sony has announced a State of Play live stream for this coming Thursday, where more than 15 minutes of gameplay will be revealed

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart releases in roughly two months and… Well, fans are beginning to worry. It’s been a
long time since we last got a look at the mascot platformer, and some are beginning to speculate that a delay may be on the cards. Not true, according to Insomniac Games – all is well behind-the-scenes, and there are “plans in place” for an update soon.
The developer, as it tends to do, was responding to some concerns in its Twitter mentions: “We know you re antsy for more news and there are plans in place right now for that. You ll be pleased with what we have to share, just hang tight.”
