Beluran Fire and Rescue Station Head Rastam Keladi said they deployed a team after being alerted at 2.17pm.
“Our team, along with other agencies, used ropes and an excavator to recover the victim’s car.
“The body was discovered around 4.40 pm, 35 metres away from where the vehicle crashed into the river,” he said, adding that the remains had been turned over to the police for further investigation
