On the occasion of Army Day on Friday, four Rashtriya Rifles (RR) units working under the Victor Force, which combats terrorist activities in south Kashmir and parts of central Kashmir, were awarded the coveted Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Unit Citation.
AWANTIPORA, JAMMU: The Indian Army has changed its standard operating procedure (SOP) for anti-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir to now focus on ensuring surrenders during live encounters notwithstanding the threat to the lives of its personnel a policy that has helped save the lives of 17 youths in the last six months.

SRINAGAR, Dec 21: To welcome ‘Chillai Kalan’, a period of harsh winters, a grand musical fest was organized at Batpura Sports Stadium in district Shopian.
The event witnessed a huge crowd of more than 3000 locals from Shopian, Pulwama and Budgam districts.
Major General Rashim Bali, General Officer Commanding, Victor Force graced the occasion with his presence, alongside important civil and police functionaries of the three districts.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of snow clad peaks of Pir Panjal, Srinagar based Chinar Band electrified the atmosphere with its melodious and energetic performances. Treating the crowd with a mix of music, comedy and stand up performances, the band won the hearts of the one and all. The crowd also enjoyed multiple Kashmiri cuisines and shopped at handicraft stalls which were set ops alongside. A grand raffle draw was also organized for the locals. Gratitude C

Shopian (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], December 22 (ANI): The Indian Army has organised the grand Chillai Kalan music festival at the Batpora Sports Stadium in the Shopian district of South Kashmir, aimed at promoting Kashmiri culture, handicraft and cuisine.
The event witnessed a huge crowd of over 3,000 locals from Pulwama, Budgam and Shopian.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the snow-clad peaks of Pir Panjal, Srinagar-based Chinar Band filled the atmosphere with its melodious and energetic performances, treating the crowd with a mix of music, comedy and stand-up performances.
