The Greater Boston Food Bank recently announced the hiring of Howard L. Breslau, of Needham, as senior director of development, diversified portfolios and individuals.
Breslau will oversee a team responsible for major and mid-level gifts, planned giving, GBFB’s sustainer program and the donor research and analysis functions as the food bank responds to the surge in food insecurity brought on by the COVID-19 health crisis.
“Howard brings a significant wealth of knowledge and experience in nonprofit development, revenue generation and board management, and we’re grateful to have him on our team,” said Arlene Fortunato, senior vice president of advancement at GBFB. “This has been a year unlike any other, with the need for food assistance in Eastern Massachusetts persisting at historic rates. Our fundraising efforts are more important now than ever.”
