Hudson Reporter Art House Productions Celebrates Artists with Disabilities for Virtual Access JC Fridays on June 4, 2021   2 / 4    4 / 4  ❮   2 / 4    4 / 4  ❮ ❯ Art House Productions has announced “Virtual Access JC Fridays,” on Friday, June 4 at 6 – 9 p.m. online via Zoom. Jersey City’s premiere quarterly arts festival will showcase a variety of happenings including visual art exhibitions, music and dance performances, art demonstrations, and studio tours from 20 participating artists and organizations. Access JC Fridays aims to be inclusive and encourages participants to present work from artists with disabilities and/or work that celebrates disability in its many forms. 55% of the presenters are showcasing work from artists with disabilities in their segments.

Group show agency to honor Black History and Women s History months

Hudson Reporter Group show “agency” to honor Black History and Women’s History months × Catalina Aranguren, founder of Walk-Bye by Argia Photography, brings her latest community art installation to life in partnership with the Jersey City Public Library. The group show exhibition “agency” will showcase original work by New Jersey artists with an unveiling at the Five Corners Library at 4 p.m. on March 1. The show, inspired by Black History Month and Women’s History Month, displays New Jersey artists’ representation of “agency” and embraces intersectionality in community. Using photography, poetry, paint and Legos, the artists explore the individual’s intrinsic agency, or belief in self and awareness of one’s rights and power within.

Dineen III and Dennis C. Hull Gallery. Palmer will virtually attend the live Zoom event on Thursday at noon.
