Huddersfield Town sign Republic of Ireland international Richard Keogh

Share this article Republic of Ireland international Richard Keogh has rejoined Huddersfield Town on a contract that will expire at the end of the season. The 34-year-old centre back has left MK Dons to sign for the English Championship club where he spent two months on loan from Bristol City in 2007. Keogh, who was sacked by Derby County in controversial circumstances over a year ago, joined the Dons last August and has started 21 games in league and cup during the first half of the current campaign. He will link up with Ireland under-21 international Danny Grant who made the switch from Bohemians last month.

Returning Cherries fans treated to a five-star performance

RETURNING Cherries fans were treated to the club’s biggest win of the season as Dominic Solanke, David Brooks, Junior Stanislas and Sam Surridge all netted to sweep aside Huddersfield Town. Around 1,200 supporters were back in at Vitality Stadium, the first time they had been permitted in 287 days since a Premier League draw with Chelsea on February 29. But with some coronavirus restrictions now lifted, the lucky few allowed in were treated to a 5-0 rout. The first three goals came inside the opening 21 minutes through Solanke’s clinical brace and a strike from the recently crowned Championship player of the month Brooks.
