Police charge Charlotte man with shooting three people in Shelby
George Thomas Dunlap was arrested Thursday.
Investigators are still working to find the motive in the drive-by shooting that occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6.
A gathering of about 30 people were at a house in the 1400 block of Frederick Street when shots rang out.
A spray of gunfire flew through the crowd, striking two Shelby men and a man from Forest City.
Each of those injured, ages 24, 27 and 31, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Dunlap, 20, of Charlotte, is charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault by pointing a gun, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding arrest and driving with a revoked license.

What started as a celebratory gathering ended with four people shot and the life of one young man taken overnight in Shelby.
Police responded to a call of shots fired shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Frederick Street. During a party that included about 30 people, multiple shots were fired striking two Shelby men and a man from Forest City.
Each of those injured, ages 24, 27 and 31, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One of the men was later released from the hospital and immediately arrested on outstanding warrants.
