Both the Rapides Parish School District and city of Alexandria have announced some operating changes since Gov. John Bel Edwards moved to Phase 3 guidelines for COVID-19.
Superintendent Jeff Powell said on Wednesday that all middle and high school students will resume normal, day-to-day schedules no later than Friday, March 19, reads a release.
Parents and guardians are asked to follow the information from their children s school because the district still is making changes to its transportation and food service departments.
However, students in the district s virtual program that are making adequate academic progress can continue to work from home, said Powell s release.
