DeRidder Police and the Beauregard Parish Sheriff s Office are investigating a shooting incident that occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Post Plant Road in DeRidder.
Beauregard Parish Sheriff Mark Hereford stated that upon arrival, Deputies and Officers located two victims. One with possibly life threatening injuries. The victims were taken to Rapides Hospital and to Lake Charles. It is believed that a third victim was taken to Beauregard Health System by private vehicle.
Sheriff Hereford stated that deputies and officers were preparing to execute search warrants on a house and a vehicle, that the location was contained and that there is no threat to the public.
