Off duty when he was hit on his motorcycle that driver took off. Good evening and thanks for joining us im iain page. Lucy is off tonight. Fox 29s dave kinchen is live at Accident Investigation Division where we just heard from police. Dave . Reporter thats right. Police just wrapped up a press conference and they tell us that the officer who was off duty who died in this tragedy has been identified as officer lamar pool. A 19 year veteran of the force. He was 42 years old and he was based out of the 12th district. Lets go to some video right now. The off duty officer lamar pool was riding his motorcycle just after 4 00 p. M. When investigators say Toyota Corolla traveling in the opposite direction on devereaux struck the officer as they met on roosevelt boulevard. Cops say that the car then kept going a few blocks. The first parade which will take the holy father from eakins oval to and around city hall will be prior to the start of the festival of families on saturday, september 26th. Reporter second parade happens just before pope francis gives mass on the ben franklin parkway september 27th. Organizers also announced 30,000 tickets for key papal events including 10,000 to see the pope at Independence Hall. Another 10,000 for festivities on saturday 9 26 and a final 10,000 tickets to see the papal parkway mass. They will be first come first serve. I never wanted to be man. Look i wanted to be girl. Reporter after 16 months of therapy in preparation kitzler from South Carolina came to bucks county to have the surgery that would change her life. It was supposed to happen yesterday but at the 11th hour, kitzlers parents drove from ohio to file an emergency injunction to stop that surgery. They wanted to make september that their son was making an informed and conscious and safe decision, and the proceeding today was necessary. Reporter her parents call the surgery barbaric and risky and after suffering from hiv, hepatitis c and depression, they say kitzler isnt mentally competent enough to make that decision. Just because a parent doesnt agree with their childs choice doesnt mean that you can then use the legal mechanisms and legal avenue to declare that person incapacitated. Reporter after day long hearing, a Common Pleas Court judge cleared the way for kitzler to have that gender reassignment surgery. As her parents scurried out
