that. absolutely. he told me himself he believes something happened in that bathroom, something that caused crystal magnum to have a post-stress disorder reaction to what happened. now, crystal has had a very difficult life. i get into it in some detail in the book. you talked to crystal. i want to ask you. i talked to her, yes. she s really the central figure in all of this. yes. and she still believes she was raped. you had the chance to talk to her. do you believe that? tell us what she told you. so i visited with her in a durham jail while she was awaiting her trial for the murder of her boyfriend. that trial occurred last november. she has been convicted of murder. she s now in a raleigh women s prison for between 14 and 18 years. i saw her in the durham jail. you know, she no longer believes she was raped. the rape charge got dropped one.

unless i was married. whitlow had recent write-ups for exposing himself, not for anybody he was married to, but prisoners. i have to do a rape charge i didn t do. i was mad. anyone out there seeing this he intended to blame other people for his problems, but the fact of the matter was he was exposing himself to nurses and to people and then he would talk about it, which in a way, it s an affront to most inmates. the exposures, i know for a fact, that were forced upon me, forcing me to be in my cell nude in rtu without clothing. every unit my clothes were either stolen or getting lost. the problem is starting to be fixed. i m proud of staff here. it is continuing to be corrected. we would try to conduct an interview and he would just keep going. the manner in which he spoke and conducted himself, it was draining. it was absolutely draining. it was hard to keep him focused.
many of santa rosa s general population inmates have been transferred here after proving to be too much to handle at other florida state prisons. among them is danny pritchett. pritchett was recently received here at santa rosa. he is a predatory inmate, has a history of that outside of prison and inside of prison. i never got along with anybody because i was always standoffish, i was a loner, stand away from everybody because i would never understand anybody or nothing. i came to prison when i was 22 years old. i am in here for a rape charge. i had a minor problem. and i became, oh, lustful within my mind, and i was always thinking about it. it s like the more i thought about it, the more it increases in my life.
