This breaks a record of the highest number of tornadoes reported in the month of May.Damaging winds and spin-up tornadoes plowed through the state Tuesday, which resulted in numerous downed trees and powerlines. Police attempted to deploy the pursuit mitigation devices, which failed at two locations Share Updated: 7:59 AM CST Mar 11, 2021 Two women were arrested after leading Brandon police on a chase.On Wednesday, a Brandon police officer observed a vehicle that was reported to be stolen out of Atlanta, Georgia on I-20 westbound near the east Brandon Exit, authorities said. The officer tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver took off.The pursuit continued into Pearl and Jackson and onto I-55 south, police said.
