Schools have reopened across Manipur, two months after ethnic clashes forced them to close. On the first day of reopening, attendance was extremely low, but students, their parents and guardians welcomed the decision. The government has said that it intends the schools to remain open, however, some parents expressed concerns about the safety of their children.
