The last rites of a CRPF jawan from Chirang district, Assam, who was killed in a Maoist encounter in Chhattisgarh, were performed in his native village. The jawan was given a state funeral and his mortal remains were brought to the airport before being taken to his village. The CRPF, CISF, and Assam Police officers paid tribute to the jawan.
