Alligator Rivers to Kakadu
âOne of Australiaâs most beautiful, unspoiled areas, the Alligator Rivers region in the Northern Territory, is to be proclaimed as the Kakadu National Park. The Prime Minister Mr Fraser said yesterday that much of the area would become a national park as soon as the proclamation is gazetted in the next few days.â The area was the subject of the Ranger Uranium Inquiry. The park will be declared in two stages.
