CSU researcher part of Indigenous climate resilience science hub  - Warner College of Natural Resources

Dominique David-Chavez, assistant professor of Indigenous Natural Resource Stewardship in the Forest and Rangeland Stewardship Department and director of the Indigenous Land and Data Stewards laboratory at Colorado State University, will work with coastal communities in Borikén (Puerto Rico) to support community-based climate research as part of a five-year $20 million grant from the National Science Foundation.

Researchers collaborate on prescribed fire science - Warner College of Natural Resources

To further prescribed fire knowledge, Hoffman and a group of researchers spanning fire science fields are conducting more than 30 experimental prescribed burns across the southeastern United States with funding from the U.S. Department of Defense’s Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program’s Wildland Fire Science Initiative. Research burns at Fort Stewart, Georgia, which involves nearly 50 fire scientists from around the country will add to the science that informs land managers and their burns.
