Daniel Demois and Andy Willick, a pair of repertory-cinema owners from Toronto, say they’re thrilled to add Ottawa’s Bytowne Cinema to their roster of independent movie houses.
“The ByTowne is such a beloved space, and we are thrilled to become a part of its rich history,” the business partners said in a statement, touching on some of the updates planned for the Rideau Street landmark.

National Volunteer Week runs from April 18-24. And there are large volunteer commitments occurring to ensure the COVID-19 vaccination clinics run as smoothly as possible in Hanover at the P&H Centre, in Kincardine at the Davidson Centre and in Owen Sound at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
The volunteers for the Hanover clinic are coming from the immediate area like Hanover, Chesley, Brockton and West Grey.
