FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas - The Fayette County Sheriff s Office says a man has been arrested after a large amount of cocaine was seized during a traffic stop.
Officials say the Fayette County Sheriff s Office Narcotics Canine Unit, Sgt. Randy Thumann and K9 partner Kolt, stopped a Ford F-350 on Interstate 10 at the 667 mile-marker at approximately 12:35 pm on April 12.
After speaking to the driver, Thumann became suspicious that the vehicle was being utilized to smuggle narcotics and he was given consent to search the vehicle.

LA GRANGE, Texas - Two people were arrested in Fayette County for traveling with 15 pounds of fentanyl, which has an estimated street value of $100 million dollars.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff s Office, SGT Randy Thumann and his K9 partner, Kolt, stopped a Jeep SUV at the 668 mile-marker on IH-10 around 8:47 am on Friday, March 5 for a traffic violation. After speaking to the driver, Thumann became suspicious that the occupants were smuggling illegal narcotics.

Thumann said he was given consent to search the vehicle, during which he found an after-market compartment built into the rear deck of the SUV. He reported that the compartment was well constructed and operated on electric motors. The fentanyl was discovered inside.

FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas Deputies in Fayette County seized more than 50 pounds of meth and 22 pounds of cocaine from a pickup truck on Interstate 10 on Tuesday. The drugs are worth an estimated $7.3 million.
The driver, Luis Fonseca, 21, and his passenger, Armando Morales, 28, of Eagle Pass, were both arrested for felony drug possession and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
