This is the first installment of an interview that historian Joe Todd did with Randy Standridge on March 3, 2020, in Bartlesville. The interview has been lightly edited for length and clarity.
Randy Standridge was born Nov. 14, 1954, in Bartlesville.
Todd: Who is your father?
Standridge: Odell Standridge. Everybody called him “Perch”. You can say Odell and no one knows him, but say Perch and everyone knows him.
T: And your mother?
T: What was her maiden name?
S: Swinford.
S: Yes.
S: 1973 from Sooner High School.
T: What type of work did your father do?
S: Worked in the foundry at Reda Pump.
