Operations at the Windsor-Detroit border are uninterrupted following an explosion earlier this afternoon on the American side of Rainbow Bridge, the border crossing between the United States and Canada in Niagara Falls.
Original suspender ropes are in the midst of being replaced on the Ambassador Bridge and work is set to be finished in 2024. The Detroit International Bridge Company says 200 of the bridge’s 300 main span cables are currently being swapped out.
