CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. A Chester County man raised money by running.
Randy Broadway ran 100 miles from Jackson to Memphis to raise money for the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in Chester County.
And he ran those miles in less than 24 hours.
Broadway and his team had a goal of $5,000, and they exceeded that by more than $700.
Broadway says, along with raising the money, he was grateful for the experience.
“It feels really, really good, but I couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish. Everything just kind of fell into place. It was just really good,” Broadway said.

JACKSON, Tenn. Professional runner Randy Broadway is running 100 miles from downtown Jackson to raise funding for the Chester County Carl Perkins Center.
“This is definitely a challenge, but it’s a challenge I’m up for, and I’ve been training really hard for the last several months to prepare for this,” Broadway said.
On Thursday April 10, Broadway is lacing up his running shoes to run from the RockaBilly Hall of Fame, all the way to Beale Street in Memphis.
“This is just an incredible opportunity to not only raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month, which is in April, but it’s also an opportunity to raise funds for our center which helps us to provide services for children and families,” said Kirbi Fahs, director of the Chester County Carl Perkins Center.
