KEY DISCUSSION COVID-19 planning continues as staff fills out a surveys requested by the Wayne County Health Department concerning whether they will get the vaccine when their turn comes up in the 1B phase of inoculations scheduled to begin Jan. 19.
So far, 56 Green Local Schools staff have submitted their intention to be vaccinated.
Health Department personnel will administer the shots at the school, said Superintendent Dean Frank, calling the number of yeses so far a pretty good response. It is not required, he said, adding, the vaccination phase for staff is expected to take place in early February.

KEY DISCUSSION In January the board will evaluate the status of the athletic fund and other student activity funds to see how they are faring as a result of working around the COVID-19 virus.
Treasurer Barbara Markland said she has noticed other districts have found it necessary to supplement the athletic fund because of lower admission rates and ticket sales, in addition to canceled games, but similar operating expenses.
Revenue expectations are different for fall, winter and spring sports, Superintendent Dean Frank said, telling the board he and Markland would document projected figures for athletic and other funds, “see how much they re down,” and make a report to the board next month.
