The city of Jacksonville issued an emergency permit on Tuesday for ELEV8 Demolition to demolish the RISE Doro apartment building's frame in Downtown Jacksonville.
It will cost an estimated $1 million to demolish the 80-foot-tall RISE Doro apartment building after a devastating fire left it unsafe and at risk of collapse.
Until the fire-gutted RISE Doro apartment building can be torn down, the surrounding streets, a nearby parking garage and several businesses will remain closed.
