A dozen years after putting its holiday Red Kettle online, the Salvation Army in metro Detroit is opening an online thrift store. We’re excited to be finally moving in this direction, Randall Polsley, of the Salvation Army, said Monday, adding it helps the charity fulfill its long-term goals. This launch is long overdue.
The nonprofit s e-commerce website, shopsastores.org, launches June 1.
