HANOVER, N.H. (AP) Jake Crouthamel, a star halfback and two-way player at Dartmouth in the late 1950s and an accomplished football coach before finding his ultimate niche as athletic director at Syracuse University has died at 84.

Drewry Estes Logan, of Hanover, N.H., died on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at Kendal at Hanover, following a short illness. She was 94. She was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Martinsville, Va., and raised on a tobacco farm in Cascade, Va. She was the daughter of Bettie Starling Estes and James Dabney Estes. She graduated from St. Mary’s School in Raleigh, N.C., and was a music major at Converse College in Spartanburg, S.C. She received her bachelor’s degree in music from Syracuse University. She was also a graduate student at the Indiana University School of Music (now the Jacobs School of Music).

Pat was born on Feb 27th 1938, in Dublin, Ireland. Her mother, Margaret died when she was very young and her father, John Sharkey, had gone to England to find work, so she spent her early years in Goldenbridge Orphanage in County Wicklow. Ireland. At the age of 17 she left Ireland to take up a job in the Kingussie Sanitorium in Scotland and later moved to Sheffield, England where she became a Registered Nurse at the Royal Hospital. It was there that she met her husband to be, Barrie Sellers, who was studying at Sheffield University to become a mining engineer. After a short nursing stint at Guy’s Hospital in England she joined Barrie in Elliot Lake Canada where they were married. They immigrated to the United States in 1963, where they lived in Adelphi M
