Wyoming and Montana Crews Battling Wildland Fire Just North Of Border Line – Sheridan Media

Photo Courtesy: Jeff Barron Fire crews from both Wyoming and Montana are trying to put out a wildland fire, near the border line of both states. According to Ranchester Fire Captain Jeff Barron, a call came in just after 6pm on Monday, July 19th, for a grass fire along I-90 near mile post 551, which is about 3-to-4 miles north of the Wyoming-Montana border line. Crews from Ranchester, and Dayton along with Bighorn County, MT, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and padlock ranch crews responded and found a wind driven fire heading westward. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.

No Injuries In Tractor Trailer Fire On I-90 Near Ranchester – Sheridan Media

No one was injured after a tractor-trailer caught fire on eastbound I-90 just north of Ranchester. According to Ranchester Fire Captain Jeff Barron, the incident occurred just after 3pm on Tuesday, June 29th, at milepost 7, or roughly 2 miles north of where I-90 and US Highway 14 meet. The occupants of the tractor trailer were able to escape without injury. Volunteer Fire Departments from Ranchester and Dayton, along with the Wyoming Highway Patrol, and Rocky Mountain Ambulance responded to the scene.
