Thirty-one federal ministers and three state ministers of the newly elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s cabinet took oath on Tuesday after much delay.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani administered the oath after President Arif Alvi excused himself over a reported illness.
A notification issued by Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s office revealed the names of the federal cabinet ministers who would be taking the charge. Among them include Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah, Rana Tanvir and Sherry Rehman.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is expected to form a new Cabinet on Monday after a week-long delay amid deliberations on how to accommodate all coalition partners, according to a media report.
