Ramsbottom Pantry A NEW food bank in Ramsbottom that opened just weeks ago has seen a surge in demand ahead of Christmas. While the area is often thought of as quite affluent, many poorer families live there and have been struggling with the affects of the coronavirus pandemic. Ramsbottom Pantry currently has two locations; Christ Church in Great Eaves Road and Ramsbottom Cricket Club in Acre Bottom. Chantelle Daniels, who helped form the food bank, said that in their first week, they gave out seven food parcels. In recent weeks, they have been giving out more than 50. She said: It was just an idea that I had. I put it on a Facebook page and I was originally going to gather some meals for the schools in the area when there was the worry kids weren t going to be able to get them.
