Hughes Network Systems, the US-headquartered satellite broadband services and managed network solutions provider said that the company is willing to bring in new investment for capacity expansion and make in India initiatives following the recently-unveiled space policy.
"The government programs should be aimed towards how you subsidize the consumer. The models vary, depending on the need, on the region and available market. If consumers want broadband, a portion of the bill, the government should pay. That’s a simple cash transfer subsidy," Ramesh Ramaswamy, Vice President of Global Services at Hughes Network Systems told ETSatcom.
