President's Council recognizes local nonprofit

President’s Council recognizes local nonprofit Rama K. Ramaswamy Community Investors, a Wellesley based nonprofit, was recently recognized by the President s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition (https://health.gov) and the U.S. Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion as a National Youth Sports Strategy Champion for their work supporting community-based recreation. Community Investors received a digital NYSS Champion badge that signifies this prestigious award and continues to be committed to their support of the NYSS by facilitating free, afterschool sports for K-12 grade students throughout the greater Wellesley-MetroWest region. Korean Culture Club Fundraiser

by Rama K. Ramaswamy Wellesley High School s Korean Culture Club is student led by Sooahn Lee, Sara Kong, and Sejin Choi, and opening up a food shop for fundraising . The KCC seeks to support and bring about awareness of North Korean refugees in their struggle for freedom and settlement of their new, start of life . According to KCC, Food Shop is our alternative way of fundraising from bake sales which is adjusted to follow the Covid-19 protocols. Our shop is filled with delicious Korean snacks you can try while giving donations for the needs and tasting part of our culture! 40% of our profits will be donated to support North Korean refugees through the non-profit organization Liberty in North Korea. When your order is placed, we will get them delivered to your doorsteps within a week! Additionally, we would like to say that we are holding a holiday sale from December 21st to January 3rd for everyone to enjoy Korean snacks as you celebrate Christmas and the New Years! Gift some d
