The Shenendehowa school district would make several upgrades under a $26.5 million proposal going to voters on May 18, 2021.
CLIFTON PARK - The Shenendehowa school district will offer a $26.5 million capital project to voters this month meant to address strategic repairs and enhancements.
According to the district s website, $2.5 million from the district’s capital reserves will be used to offset the impact to taxpayers. With the reserve funds, declining debt service and approximately 69.6 percent reimbursed by New York State building aid, it is estimated that the tax impact of this project will be approximately $0.046 (less than a nickle) per thousand of tax assessed value per year over 17 years, according to the online district newsletter.

CLIFTON PARK – The Shenendehowa school board’s $187 million budget proposal includes a 2% tax levy increase, but officials project district residents will still see a decline in their tax rate as valuations grow.
The district budget proposal, which goes up for voter approval May 18, increases overall spending by 3% and lays the groundwork for bringing all students back to school for in-person instruction.
“We are excited about the return to full, in-person learning for 2021-2022 and the renewed commitment to provide engaging experiences on-site for all of our students,” Superintendent Oliver Robinson said in the district’s budget newsletter.
