Teachers' Day celebrated across Nagaland

EM Bureau Dimapur, Sep. 5 (EMN): Teachers’ Day was celebrated across the state to pay tribute to teachers and also to commemorate the birth anniversary of noted scholar and the former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Besides the official Teachers’ Day programme in all the districts, private schools and educational institutions also celebrated the day in their respective institutions. Dimapur: Dimapur district observed common Teachers’ Day celebration at Kuda Youth hall with retired director of higher education, Nagaland, Kuholi Chishi, as special guest. Kuholi in her address reminded the teachers to be well informed, live with integrity and be a teacher of all seasons. On significance of the day, she said teachers have chosen one of the most noble jobs and therefore, teachers deserved to be treated with great respect. “Be proud of who you are and do not succumb to any criticism,” she encouraged the teachers, while adding that teachers also need to be competen
