Prime Minister Narendra Modi proclaimed the advent of Ram Rajya in India during the inauguration of the nation s largest affordable housing scheme in Maharashtra s Solapur. Modi handed over house keys to beneficiaries of the Ray Nagar Co-operative Society Federation project, aimed at building 30,000 economically weaker section homes. The Prime Minister encouraged occupants to celebrate the consecration of Ayodhya s Ram mandir by lighting lamps in their new homes on Jan 22.
On Thursday at 1:28 pm, the "auspicious" hour designated by the priests, the 51-inch-tall idol of Ram Lalla, intricately sculpted by Arun Yogiraj, was installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, amid chanting of hymns.
